Wooden Baby High Chairs
Below are my reviews of some of the wooden baby high chairs available today.
There are plenty of different styles in the wooden baby high chairs market, so on this page, I am going to try and review some of the popular ones, advising you of their different qualities and features. Please note though, none of my comments are a specific endorsement of a particular high chair, my comments should be used for informational purposes only.
Stokke Tripp Trapp Wooden Baby High Chair
The Stokke high chairs are unique in their look, design and adjustability. They actually look a little funny, but that style is what makes them uniquely adjustable for your child. In designing these chairs, Stokke have given a lot of consideration to ergonomics and the development of your child from infancy right up to the age where they can comfortably sit on an adult chair. This high chair is pretty pricey, but from reading all the reviews, it seems the cost is worth every cent. Keep in mind too that this chair is adjustable, meaning you will not have to trade up as your baby grows.

Graco Classic Wooden Baby High Chair
This is the high chair to buy if you are intent on that tradition wooden furniture style. It always gets good reviews from parents with comments like "attractive", "solid" and "easy to assemble" - which are all important considerations.
"Solid" can be good or bad though, on the downside, it cannot be adjusted as your child grows. You cannot position the chair to your dining table, which makes it hard for your child to interact at dinner time. Further the crutch post is rigid giving the chair a shelf life, as your baby grows ever bigger through their childhood.
Hauck Alpha III Wooden High Chair
This is the biggest selling high chair in Europe and is similar to the Stokke chair in appearance and in method. The main highlights of this chair are that is teaches your child to sit properly right from go, right from the first day of sitting in a high chair. It adjusts with your child, ensuring your child is always at table height. This is great for the development of your child's posture. And its flat wooden design makes it very easy to clean. I know from experience how much this takes the stress out of parenting.
There are plenty of other wooden high chairs out there. I suggest you first think about what is important to you. I'd always recommend thinking about your child, their safety in the harness and their long term development. Style, convenience and fit with your furniture should only be a consideration once you are satisfied with the safety features of the chair you are looking at.
